Boyzone bio
Boyzone are an Irish boy band (pop group). They had major success in the UK and the Republic of Ireland and they also had differing levels of success in parts of Europe and Asia. The band had six #1 UK hit singles when they were first together. By 2007 they had sold over 15 million records.
Boyzone was put together in 1993 by Louis Walsh who is also known for managing Johnny Logan a... nd Westlife. Their first album Said and Done was released in 1995 and the following two studio albums in 1996 and 1998. Boyzone initially split in January 2000.
After the break up, Ronan Keating has made a successful solo career and has released five albums, also achieving countless hit singles such as When You Say Nothing At All; Stephen Gately released a modestly successful solo album and pursued a career in stage acting and particularly West End musicals; Mikey Graham also pursued solo projects and went on to become a music producer; Keith Duffy & Shane Lynch collaborated in 2000 releasing a version of Milli Vanilli's 1988 hit Girl You Know It's True.
