Zoetrope bio
There are 2 Zoetropes:
The first was a popular Chicago band in the 80's, Zoetrope's music (self-described as "street metal") was aggressive 80's metal bordering on thrash. Two good albums were released in the eighties, and then a totally revamped lineup came together five years later with "Mind Over Splatter", which may or may not be of a similar style. The bands... name (pronounced e-trope) was derived from sort of film industry apparatus, as well as the name of Francis Ford Coppola's studio.
The current Zoetrope does music that swings between folk and techno, a style called folkhop. Find out more at http://folkhop.com
There is also a finnish post-rock project called Zoetrope: http://www.mikseri.net/artists/?id=56904 Full bioRead more
